James Smith

Mr. James Robert “Pete” Smith, Sr., 76, of 83 Salters Road, passed on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at his home. He was a son of the late James M. Thompson and Margie Smith.

Surviving: wife of 29 years, Linda Dogan Smith of the home; daughters, Juanita (Ronald) Mills of Greer and Kimberly Leonard of Greenville; sons, James R. (Jennie) Smith, Jr., Wayne (Darlene) Smith, Danny Smith and Darrell (Kris ) Smith, all of Greer, Stephon (Lashun) Leonard and Willie (Anita) Leonard, all of Simpsonville; sisters, Joanne T. Lipford, Barbara Simmons and Geraldine Castaneda, all of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, James (Barbara) Thompson of Norwalk, CT, Lewis (Phyllis) Thompson of Bowie, MD and Frank (Chris) Thompson of Chandler, AR; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
