Mr. James William “Boot” Irby, 78, of Mauldin, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at his residence. Born in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late James and Essie Mae Jones Irby.
Mr. Irby was the husband to Judy Marie Lomax Irby for 58 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, James F. Irby of Greenville, SC; three daughters, the Honorable Jacquelyn (Russell) Duckett of Simpsonville, SC, Julie (Jeffery) Redmond of Greenville, SC and Jatavia (Leon) Rhodes of Pelzer, SC; two brothers, Robert Emory Irby and John L. Irby both of Greenville, SC; two aunts; Jackie Mills Booker and Betty Irby Chaffold; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 1:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Graceland East Memorial Park.
