James Lewis Downs

Mr. James Lewis Downs, 57, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Lewis Martin and Sarah Lee Downs.

Surviving: three daughters, Chasity Downs, of Simpsonville, SC; Na’asia Downs, of Alabama; and Jakayla Downs, of Greenville, SC; raised in the home, five daughters; Letitia (Eric Latimer) Johnson, of Pelzer, SC; LaPorscha Johnson, of Greenville, SC; Keshia (Pierre Plumer) Workman, of Anderson, SC; Taneka Workman, of Greenville, SC; one son, James Anthony (Tiffany) Downs, of Easley, SC; three brothers, Albert Downs, Nathaniel Rosemond, and Curtis Downs, all of Greenville SC; a special devoted and dedicated friend to James, Melissa Johnson, of Greenville, SC; fifteen grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

 Funeral Services: Friday, June 14, 2024, 3:30pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
