James Bassett Jr.

Mr. James Bassett Jr., 75, of Greenville, transitioned Monday, September 21, 2026, at Rainey Hospice House. He was a son of the late James Sr., and Clarice Williams Bassett.

Surviving: two daughters, Tonya Bassett of Fairfield, AL and Crisshantal Coleman of Midfield AL; two sisters, Eunice (Willie) Canty of Piedmont, SC and Deborah Spranggins of Birmingham, AL; two grandchildren; JaQuoiyia (Timothy) White of Texas and Jalen Bassett of Bessemer, AL; two great-grandchildren, Jayce Bassett and Brooklyn Bassett, both of Bessemer AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Sunday, September 27, 2026, 3:30PM, at Watkins, Garrett, and Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
