Gladys Kilgore

Mrs. Gladys Arnold Kilgore, 89, of Greenville, South Carolina, transitioned to her Heavenly home on Sunday, July 15, 2018. She was a daughter of the late Parker Arnold and Verda A. Starks Arnold.

She was a graduate of Brewer High School and retired from Michelin Tire Corporation.

She was a member of the St. Paul AME Church in Cokesbury, South Carolina. She was a member of the Missionary Ministry at St. Paul. She attended with her husband, Charles, for over sixty years, the Springfield Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina, where she served in the Senior Citizens Ministry. She enjoyed cooking, baking and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Charles W. Kilgore; a sister, Carrie P. Sanders and four brothers, William, Richard, J.T. and Albert Arnold.

Left to treasure many fond and loving memories are her daughter, Rochelle Kilgore of Simpsonville, SC; a sister, Mary (Willie) Williams of Cokesbury, SC; one brother, Sam (Elizabeth) Arnold of Cokesbury, SC; sister-in-law, Betty (John) Williams of Freeport, Long Island, NY; nephew, Albert Arnold, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
