Mr. George Leroy “Mitch” Mitchell, 86, of 5 Briar Street, passed away at W. J. B. Veterans Medical Center, Columbia, on Friday, June 17, 2016. Born in Mobile, AL, he was a son of the late George Leroy Mitchell, Sr. and Lallie Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Bowens Mitchell.
Surviving: daughter, Brenda Jenée Mitchell of Columbia; sons, Terrance Leroy (Deloris) Mitchell of Greenville and Aldin Quinn (Janet) Mitchell of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Mabel Williams and Emma Lee Mullins, both of Mobile, AL; brother, Wilma “Bubba” Mitchell of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; grand-dog, Buttons; and a host of other relatives and friends.
