Mrs. Dorothy Mayfield of 10 Bryant Street, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Scott, Sr. and Virginia Sanders Scott.
Left to cherish loving memories is her husband of 42 years, John Lewis Mayfield; sons, John W. and Tyrone L. Mayfield, both of the home, Lee I Mayfield of Charleston, and Cary L. Mayfield of Simpsonville; granddaughter, raised in the home, DeAshia Wells; brothers, Frank, Jr., Theodore, and Ernest Scott, all of Fountain Inn, and Otis Scott of Greenville; sisters, Mattie Harris and Geraldine Griffin, both of Greenville, Mary McDowell and Alberta Cook, both of Fountain Inn; nine grandchildren.
