Courtney Datrea Anderson, Loving Mother and Visionary Extraordinaire

Courtney, a beloved mother and cherished sister, passed away on September 11, 2023 at the age of 34. She is survived by her loving children, Amalah Grace Anderson-Piphus and Faith Kalila Anderson-Piphus, who were the light of her life.

Born on April 4th, 1989, Courtney was a dedicated mother and a source of unwavering support for her children. She instilled in them values of Godly love, kindness, and resilience that will forever guide them through life's journey.

Courtney had an innate gift for creativity from a young age. Her artistry knew no bounds, and her works of art were a reflection of her unique perspective on life. Whether through painting, drawing, or other forms of expression, she had a profound ability to capture the beauty of the world around her. She believed that art had the power to heal, inspire, and connect people, and she used her talents to make the world a more beautiful place.

In addition to her creative pursuits, Courtney had a warm and compassionate heart. She had a special way of connecting with people, and her presence lit up any room she entered. Her infectious laughter and zest for life will be dearly missed.

Her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire her children and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. We remember her as a beacon of love and support, and her memory will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Courtney’s life will be held on Friday, September 22nd, 3:30pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Amalah (https://ugift529.com/readysave529/E2D-E7D.html) and Faith’s (https://ugift529.com/readysave529/J04-S9E.html) college fund. Education in any form was near to Courtney’s heart.

Courtney leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and unwavering support. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her children and her family.

Courtney is survived by her husband, Demarcus Piphus; her biological father, Rodney Atkins; her beloved parents, Joe and Grace Anderson; two daughters, Amalah Grace Anderson-Piphus and Faith Kalila Anderson-Piphus; six sisters, Shanice Anderson of Evans, Ga, Jessica Scott, Shanice Jackson, Allison Bowens, Desiree Wideman and Keiyonna Canty, all of Greenville, SC; four brothers, Joe Anderson, Ill and Jalen Anderson, both of Evans, GA, Rodney Atkins, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV and Roshun Atkins of Greenville, SC; her mother-in-law, Lorrie Garrett; her confidant and aunt, Gloria Blakely of Greenville, SC, and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. May she rest in eternal peace.
