Clarence Wright, Jr. 80, of Greenville, SC, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late Clarence Wright, Sr., and Frances Belcher Wright.
He was married to Mary Anderson Wright for 29 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Diane Wright (Andre’, Sr.) Patterson of Simpsonville, SC and Sheila Logan of Greenville, SC; five sons, Clarence Wright, III., Bruce (Annette) Wright and Nathaniel (Jennifer) Wright, all of Simpsonville, SC, Napoleon (Stacey) Wright of Spartanburg, SC and Quintin (Joann) Wright of Gaffney, SC; one step-son, James Hill of Simpsonville, SC; four sisters, Queen Wright Wooden, Bessie (Willie) Sease, Bernice Wright-Huskey and Marzillia Owens all of Simpsonville, SC ; four brothers, Harold (Sarah) Wright, Minister J. W. Wright, Rev. Johnny (Maggie) Wright all of Simpsonville, SC and Jimmy (Diane) Wright of Piedmont, SC; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Sunday, July 23, 2023, time 2:30pm, at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, with interment in church cemetery.
