Mr. Calvin Velma Simmons

Mr. Calvin Velma Simmons 68, of Greenville, transitioned on Sunday January 4, 2026 at his residence. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late James Edward Simmons, Sr., and Florence Wakefield Simmons.

Surviving: two daughters, Marquita McClellan, of Greenville, SC; and Nytia Simmons, of Easley, SC; one son, Damerial Simmons, of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Rev. Erion Rosemond, and Dorothy (Hyman) Fowler, all of Piedmont, SC; and Corendia Simmons, of Simpsonville, SC; three brothers, Ray Anthony (Sheila) Simmons, of Piedmont, SC; Rev. Robert Lee (Barbara) Simmons, of Mauldin, SC; and Keith (Rebecca) Simmons, of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Sunday, January 11, 2026, 4:00 pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
