Ms. Bobbie Ann “Bob” Erby, 57, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Fred Erby, Sr. and Julia Elizabeth Abercrombie Erby.
“Bob” was educated in the Greenville County Schools and was a graduate of Greenville High School and Rutledge College. She was a member of Life Restoration Center.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanette Jackson and Francis Johnson and three brothers, James H. Abercrombie,William J. Abercrombie and Alfred Abercrombie, Sr.
Left to cherish many fond memories are her companion, Eugene McGowan of Greenville; sons, Lazella (Natasha) Erby and Derrick Erby, both of Greenville, and Christopher (Miron) Erby of Inman; sisters, Odessa (Johnny) Harris of Charlotte, NC, Azalee Rapley, Anna Bell Searles, Annette Nelson, Vernell Erby and Floree Erby, all of Greenville; brothers, Leon (Betty) Abercrombie, Fred Erby, Jr., Billy (Beverly) Erby, and Michael Erby, all of Greenville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
