Ms. Bernardine C. "BJ" Smith

Ms. Bernardine C. “BJ” Smith, 67, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Chicago, IL; she was the daughter of the late Beuther Smith and Ester Simpson. Grandparents that raised her Carlene and Washington Hagler. 

Surviving: her companion, John Irving, of the home, a goddaughter, Shemeka Johnson, of Greenville, SC; four sons, Richard (Malessa) Teasley, Travis Teasley, David Millbrook, and Johnathan Millbrook, all of Greenville SC; four sisters, Francine Shelton, of Chicago, IL, Evelyn Dycus, of San Diego, CA; Novena Smith, and Jackie Simpson, both of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Buford Smith, Indianapolis, IN; seventeen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
