Mr. Alverne W."Al" Mayhew, 94, of 18 Church Street, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at home.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories, his loving and faithful wife, Betty Strickland Mayhew of the home; two daughters, Ms. Nannett Campbell of NC and Ms. Eiress Hunt of Greenville, SC; three sons, Michael (Robin) Mayhew of Forestville, MD, Mr. Charles (Pamela) Campbell of New Haven, CT and Allen “Mike” (Lynn) Mayhew of Greenville, SC; one brother, Mr. Richard (Rosemary) Mayhew of Soquel, CA; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
