Alma Moody

Mrs. Alma Moody, 59, of 108 Mooremont Avenue, Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at her home. She was a daughter of Lornell Bennett, Sr., and the late Priscilla N. Dillard Bennett.

Alma was a graduate of Greenville High and Greenville Cosmetology schools. She was a retiree of the former Greenville Hospital System.

She was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina, and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Westminster, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, William J. Moody; a daughter, Ashley Nicole Moody; and her grandmother, Annie Mae Dillard.

Left with many treasured memories in addition to her father: daughter, Jennifer Lindsey Moody of Greenville, SC; a sister, Venus L. Bennett of Greenville, SC; a brother, Lornell “Jay” (Deborah) Bennett, Jr. of Anderson, SC; a grandson, Camryn Javon Allen; aunts, Sylvia Smith and Diane Dillard, both of Greenville, SC; uncles, Melvin Bennett, Sr., and Ernest Dillard, both of Greenville, SC and Cot Wright of Spartanburg;, SC; nieces, Lauren C. Cunningham, Raven Paige Bennett, Rachel L. Cunningham and Quiara Philson; nephews, Miller G. Cunningham, Jr., and Brandon L. Sires; and a host of other relatives and friends.
