Mrs. Alma Means, 66, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Laurel Baye Healthcare. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Marion Phelps, Sr. of the home and the late Alberta Smith Gaddis.

Left to cherish loving memories, in addition to her father, is her daughter, Mashona Means Brown of Greenville; sons, Adreius Means of the home and Marius Means of Seattle, WA; sisters, Dianne Poole, Patsy Poole, Bennie Mae Davies, Doris Gaddis, Darlene Garnett, and Elaine Gaddis; brothers, Marion Phelps, Jr., Charles Phelps, John Thomas Gaddis, and Maurice Gaddis; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
