Vernon Williams

Mr. Vernon “The Wood Man” Williams, Jr., 64, of Greenville, transitioned peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at his residence. Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Vernon, Sr. and Evangeline Blassingame Williams.

Surviving: two daughters, Shekya Denise McKinney of the home and Sharonda A. McKinney of Grenville, SC; two sons, Rodrigus McKinney of El Paso, TX and Amos (Chiquila) Valentine, III of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Vernell “Juanita” Williams and Mary “Dee” Williams (Chris Keys), both of Easley, SC; one brother, James (Mae Frances) Williams of Easley, SC; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service: Saturday, March 6, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary with interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
