Vernette Smith

Mrs. Vernette M. “Bunt” Smith, 88 formerly of Taylors, South Carolina, passed on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Quillen Manor. She was the daughter of the late Champ and Bertha Jones Mahaffey.

Surviving: three daughters, Glynis (Robert) Webb of Fountain Inn, SC, Melgie Porter of Rock Hill, SC and Shuntzie (Anthony) Poole of Taylors, SC; one son, Michael (Brenda) Smith of Leesville, LA; a daughter-in-law, Gladius Smith of Taylors, SC; a special niece, Lorraine Anderson of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, October 6, 2020, 1:00p.m. at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary, with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
