Ms. Sara Alice McGowan, 74, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Laurens County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Sampson and Charlie Mae Smith McGowan.
Surviving two daughters, Mia (Jeff) Evans of Taylors, SC and Shuron McGowan of Greenville, SC; one son, Fritz (Bonita) McGowan of Greenville, SC; one sister, Bobbie Nell Nichols of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Rufus McGowan of Greensboro, NC, and Sammie (Wyonia) McGowan of Laurens, SC; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Sunday, April 24, 2022, 3:00pm, at Mt. View Baptist Church, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
