Mrs. Peggy Jean Woody Whitner, 76, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at her residence.
She was a daughter of the late Houston Woody and Willie Mae Butler Woody.
Mrs. Whitner was the wife of Royce Whitner for 54 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Anthony (Teresa) Whitner of Duncan, SC and Christopher (Traci) Whitner of Woodstock, GA; three sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Chandler, Betty Dean and Annette (Frank) Griggs all of Greenville, SC; four brothers, Charles Woody, Thomas Woody, Glen Woody and Sammy Woody, all of Greenville, SC; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 12 noon at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens
