Deacon Nathaniel “Na” Hawthorne, Sr., 71, of Piedmont, passed on Friday, April 9, 2021 at McCall Hospice. He was a son of the late Rev. Elijah, Sr. and Louise Chapman Hawthorne.
Surviving: his wife, Barbara Hawthorne of the home; one son, Anthony Shay Hawthorne of the home; one granddaughter, Angelina Nicole Hawthorne of Laurens, SC; three sisters, Mary Alice (Lifford) Ware and Gwendolyn (Robert) Pitts, both of Greenville, SC and Bernice (Reginald) Anderson of Taylors, SC; four brothers, Twyman Hawthorne of Piedmont, SC, Thomas Hawthorne of Atlanta, Ga, Edward (Patricia) Hawthorne and Ronnie (Anna) Hawthorne, both of Piedmont, SC; one foster brother, Kenny O’Neal of Piedmont, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Reedy Fork Baptist Church, with burial in Church cemetery.
