Mrs. Juanita Allen Murray was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on March 16, 2022 at age 78.
She was born to Robert Allen and Janie Galloway Allen on February 9, 1944 in Greenville, SC. She had 3 brothers: June, Frisco and Norwood Allen. She and her husband, Singlee Murray, had 1 child: Singlee John Paul Murray as well as 3 very special nieces and nephews: Kenneth Austin, Kearston Silver and Raelin Austin.
Juanita loved to laugh, talk on the phone and spend time in the kitchen, creating and experimenting with recipes for herself and her family. Her passion was helping people which manifested itself over the course of her career in group homes for troubled youth as well as teaching special education students. She adored all of her family members and in her later life she thoroughly enjoyed the company of her grandchildren: Alaina and Ariana Murray.
A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00pm on March 27, 2022 at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary at 1011 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
