Johnnie Byrd

Mrs. Johnnie Mae Byrd, 77, passed on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. She was a daughter of Beatrice Moore Chapman and the late JB Connor.

Surviving: in addition to her mother; husband, James E. Byrd of the home; two daughters, Debbie (James) Bowens of Easley, SC and Sandra Byrd Westmoreland of Greenville, SC; one son, Jonathan (Cherri)“Big Baby”) Byrd of Greenville, SC; four sisters, Willie Mae Chapman, Rev. Mary (Stanley) Sloan, Linda Ann (John) Barbar, and Francina (Rev. Curtis) Taylor, all of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Heyward Chapman of Simpsonville, SC, Freddie Chapman of Greenville, SC, and Rev. Tommy (KeWanda) Chapman of Piedmont, SC; two grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Thursday, March 18, 2021, time TBA, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with burial at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
