To my family:
I miss my cousin Ida so much and I'm reminded of what she would tell me when she had to have another surgery. We would sit and compare notes on pain toleration. When I had to have a knee replacement and she had already have that. I said to her I wasn't like she was with pain. She said to me in her best Barry White voice that she was a" TOUGH OLD BIRD" and I knew I wasn't. I miss us going on trips with her mom and my aunt eating meat skins and talking trash. On my birthday this past September 01, she called me like she always did on all special days and said I just want to wish my Big cousin a happy birthday and that was the last time I heard her voice.

Even though that dreaded virus COVID-19 took you from us I still see your smile Ida and a wave when I found out you were being transferred to another nursing facility. I didn't like but there was nothing I or any of us could do to stop it. I believe now you are with your mom, my mom (your aunt), your brother Ken, grandmother and the rest of our loves one and even if you had a chance to come back to be with us, you wouldn't because you no longer have to worry about pains in your body because you have gained your GLORIED BODY! I believe I will see you again if our Lord and Savior let us know our loves when I get to the other shore. So long for now I pray I will see you again.
Much love, Big Cousin,
Rev. Carrie Manigault-Tillman
