Mr. Dorries Charles “Tubby” Downs, 68, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at McCall Hospice House. He was a son of the late Thomas Charles and Effie Lee Sherman Downs.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ethel Mae Brown Downs; one daughter, Melissa Downs of Greenville, SC; two sons, Travis Posey of Spartanburg, SC; David Brown of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Francine Mayer, and Ollie Dale (Christopher) Pierce, both of Greenville, SC; one brother, Donnie Lee (Geraldine) Downs of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service: Saturday, November 12, 2022, 3:30pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in private.
