Deacon Calvin Durant 97, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital. He was a son of the late Anderson and Pearl Hughen Durant.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Deacon Durant was married to the late Irene Washington Durant for over 50 years.
Surviving: two daughters, Celia Mae (Edward) Graves of Columbia, SC and Clarie McDuffie of Greenville, SC; one son, Stanley Durant of Rock Hill, SC; a granddaughter raised in the home, Pontheolla Tolbert of Greenville, SC; a great-grandson raised in the home, Marques Durant of Kershaw, SC; six other grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, February 4, 2023, 1:00pm, at Shady Oak Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
