James Pernell (Peewee) Jenkins was born April 14, 1952 in Anderson, SC to the late Paul and Kathryn Jackson Jenkins. He served in the United States Army from 1973 to1977. After a courageous 2 1/2 years battle with cancer he went home to be with the Lord. During his illness he rededicated his life back to the Lord.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife, Cassie Jenkins of the home; a daughter, Angela (Troy) Tatum of Charlotte, NC; one stepdaughter Jasmine Gray of Simpsonville, SC; one stepson, Joshua (Jennifer) of Startex, SC; two sisters, Cynthia Wilkes of Piedmont, SC, Sharyn J. Winestock of Simpsonville, SC; three brothers, Roy C., Paul M., and Gerald Jenkins all of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren, Malique, Malcurn, Matthew, Brittany, of Charlotte, NC and David Gray; one step grandchild, Samuel of Startex, SC; one aunt, two uncles, and a host of cousin nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

I took his hand when I heard his call,
